Electric Dirt Bike for Women: Pick by Fit, Not by Label

3 min de lectura

Short answer: An electric dirt bike for a woman is the same bike we sell to every adult rider. Pick by fit, not by a label. For most women the Sykeruns X5 at $975 is the right pick. A taller or heavier rider, or a rider on hills and deep sand, should pick the Sykeruns X7 at $1350. Free shipping to all 50 states and same day pickup in Tempe.

Fit comes first

The X5 fits a rider about 4 ft to 5 ft 11 in and up to 265 lb. The bike itself weighs 126 lb. The X7 fits a rider about 4 ft 8 in to 6 ft 3 in and up to 330 lb. The bike itself weighs 143 lb. A rider who can get a foot down and hold the bike up at a stop has an easier first ride. Height and weight tell you more than any label. The weight limit guide, the adult electric guide and the X5 vs X7 guide lay out the full pick.

Start slow in gear one

Both bikes have three gears and no clutch to learn. The X5 gear steps are about 15, 27 and 50 mph, so gear one is a calm place to start. The X7 gear steps are about 25, 39 and 56 mph, so gear one on the X7 is already quick. A new rider who fits the X5 gets the slower start. The beginner electric guide and the beginner adult guide cover how to build up speed over time.

Pick by ground next

The X5 is 3000W and is built for flat and open ground. The X7 is 5500W with 220 N.m of torque and pulls harder on hills and in deep sand. If your ground is flat, the X5 does the job and you keep $375. If your ground climbs or the sand is deep, the X7 is worth the step up. The X5 review and the X7 review give the full specs and real range for each bike.

Charge and range

Plan on real miles, not factory miles. The X5 plans on about 20 to 25 miles of real off road riding and a charge of about 5 to 6 hours. The X7 plans on about 22 to 31 miles and a charge of about 6 to 7 hours. The gap is small, so pick by fit and ground first. The range guide and the battery charging guide explain what changes your range.

Gear for the first ride

A helmet that fits, goggles, gloves, boots over the ankle, long sleeves and long pants, every ride. At 50 mph and at 56 mph that is not a choice. The safety gear guide covers how to fit a helmet well.

What shows up

The bike arrives about 90 percent built. You fit the front wheel and the handlebar with the included tools and a video, then give it a first full charge. It is off road only with no title. It comes with 1 year parts support through the manufacturer. The Arizona riding guide and the electric dirt bikes in Phoenix guide show where to ride near Tempe.

Buying for a younger rider instead

For a young kid, start with the 50cc gas mini at $300, or $350 total with a helmet. It is a 50cc two stroke with pull start, automatic with no gears and no clutch, ages about 5 to 13 and up to 170 lb. The girls guide, the teen electric guide and the gas vs electric guide help you pick by age and size, and the cost guide lays out every price.

We are a family owned mini moto and ebike club in Tempe. Both electric bikes are in the electric collection. If fit looks right, order the bike that fits you, or come pick it up the same day in Tempe.
