The Sykeruns X7 is a 5500W, 60V electric dirt bike with a claimed top speed of 56 mph and a claimed range of up to 60 miles. The maker lists it at $1,999. We sell the same bike for $1,350 with free shipping. Below is what the spec sheet says, what an independent reviewer measured, and who it actually suits.
What the X7 is
It is a full size electric dirt bike built for adults, not a kids bike scaled up. The frame takes a rider up to 330 lbs and fits roughly 4 ft 8 in to 6 ft 3 in. It runs a mid drive motor with three selectable gears, so you can keep it slow while you learn the bike and open it up once you trust it.
There is no gas, no oil to mix, no pull start and no carburetor to clean. For anyone coming off a two stroke, that is most of the maintenance gone.
If you are still picking between gas and electric, read our gas vs electric guide for the honest pros and cons of each.

The range number nobody tells you
This is the part worth reading twice.
The factory claims up to 60 miles on a charge. An independent review of the X5 and X7 put real world range at 22 to 31 miles for the X7. Both numbers can be true. Sixty miles is what you get creeping along in first gear on flat ground with a light rider. Twenty to thirty is what you get riding it the way people actually ride it, in the higher gears, on dirt, with hills.
Plan around the lower number and you will never be stranded. If you need a full day of hard riding without a charge, this is not the bike, and no electric at this price is.
What it does not have
The X7 has no turn signals, no tail light setup for road use, no horn and no VIN. That is not a fault, it is what it is: an off road machine.
Off road use only. It is not street legal and it does not come with a title. Private property, dirt lots, desert and tracks. If you are not sure what is legal where you live, we wrote a 50 state guide to where you can legally ride a dirt bike. In Arizona, start with our Arizona riding guide for spots near Phoenix and Tempe.
The same review also noted the battery and motor are unbranded and it could not confirm UL certification on the pack. We would rather you know that than find out later. If certification is a hard requirement for you, buy something else.
X7 or X5
The Sykeruns X5 is the smaller one: 3000W, 48V 20Ah, up to 50 mph, 265 lb rider limit, and it fits riders from about 4 ft. It is $975, and we gave it the same honest treatment in our Sykeruns X5 review.
The X7 is 5500W, carries 330 lbs and fits taller riders. It is $1,350.
The honest way to choose: if the rider is under about 5 ft 11 in and under 265 lbs, the X5 is enough bike and saves you $375. If the rider is tall, heavy, or has ridden before and will be bored, go X7. Both live in our electric dirt bikes collection.
Still torn between them? We put the two side by side, spec for spec, with the torque and fit numbers that actually decide it, in Sykeruns X5 vs X7: which one should you buy.
What it costs, and why ours is less
Sykeruns lists the X7 at $1,999 on their own site. It also shows up on Amazon and Walmart at similar money.
Ours is $1,350 with free shipping to all 50 states, and the shipping is already inside that price. We buy direct and we are a family owned mini moto and ebike club in Tempe, Arizona, so there is less in the middle. That is the whole trick, there is nothing clever about it.
What shows up at your door
It arrives sealed in its factory crate, exactly as it reached us, because we never open it. The factory has it about 90% assembled, which leaves you the handlebars, the front wheel and a few bolts, plus a full first charge before the first ride. The tools are in the box. Most people have the assembly done in 20 to 30 minutes, sometimes 10 once you have done one, and after that you are only waiting on the battery. Read our guide to charging an electric dirt bike battery before that first charge so the pack lasts.

Everyone should wear a helmet and gear, on the first ride and every ride after. See our safety gear guide for the full list before the first ride.
If a part comes through bad
Plugged by 50CC does not cover or pay for warranty. If a part is defective, we contact the manufacturer on your behalf and get the correct part sent to you free. We are the middleman on that, and in our experience chasing the factory for you is worth more than a card in the box.
Common questions
How fast is the Sykeruns X7 really?
The factory claims 56 mph in third gear with a light rider on flat ground. Most riders will see a little under that, and the first two gears cap out around 25 and 39 mph, which is where a new rider should stay.
How far will it actually go on one charge?
Plan for 22 to 31 miles of normal riding. The 60 mile figure is a best case number at low speed, not what you should budget around.
Is the X7 street legal?
No. It has no VIN, no turn signals and no horn, and it does not come with a title. It is an off road machine and that is the only way to use it.
How long does it take to charge?
6 to 7 hours from empty on the charger that comes with it.
Does it fit an adult?
Yes. It is rated to 330 lbs and fits riders from about 4 ft 8 in to 6 ft 3 in, which covers most adults. Under that, look at the X5.
Where to buy
We ship the Sykeruns X7 free to all 50 states, out the same day, normally there in 2 to 5 business days. Questions before you order, text 623 320 8984.
Plugged by 50CC is an independent retailer. We do not manufacture, assemble, modify or service the bikes we sell. Every bike ships sealed in its factory crate exactly as it reaches us, about 90% assembled from the factory, and final assembly and setup are completed by the buyer. Off road use only. Riders under 18 should always be supervised by an adult.
