Short answer
Yes. A real gas kids dirt bike can cost under $500. Our 50cc gas mini bike is $300 with free shipping to all 50 states, or $350 total with a helmet. Same day pickup is open in Tempe for local families. We are a family owned mini moto and ebike club in Tempe, Arizona.
What the $300 covers
The bike is a 50cc two stroke with pull start and automatic gears, so a new rider just twists and goes. It fits ages about 5 to 13 and riders up to 170 lb. Top speed is 32 mph, and a speed limiter lets a parent set it slower while a child learns. Read more in our how fast guide and our speed limiter guide.
Colors are black, blue, green, red and yellow. Black and blue are the most asked for. Pick by size first with our size guide by age and height, then pick a color.
What the $350 total adds
The $350 total is the bike plus a helmet. A helmet is the one piece of gear a child needs on day one. Our safety gear guide covers what else helps as a rider grows, like gloves and goggles. Keeping the full start under $500 leaves room in the budget for that extra gear later.
Why the total stays under $500
Shipping is free to all 50 states, so there is no added shipping fee at checkout. The price you see is the price you pay for the bike. Our cost guide breaks down the full budget, and our online buying guide covers what to check before you order.
What shows up
The bike is about 90 percent built. You fit the front wheel and handlebar with included tools and a video. It is off road only and has no title. Plan on the fuel mix guide for the first tank and the setup guide for the first day. Every bike comes with 1 year parts support through the manufacturer.
Is under $500 right for your child
For a first bike for a child age about 5 to 13, yes. It is a real gas bike at a price that lets a family try riding without a big spend. Our buying guide for parents, our best 50cc guide and our first dirt bike experience guide help you check fit and first ride steps. Our gift guide helps if this bike is a present.
