Is this the right bike for your kid?

This is the step up from our 50cc. It is built for riders about 9 and up, so if your kid has outgrown a smaller bike or started on the bigger side, this is the one.

Seat height is about 27.5 inches, which is roughly three and a half inches taller than our 50cc. Max rider weight is 220 lbs, so it carries a big teenager, and plenty of grown adults have ridden one around the yard.

It is automatic. No clutch, no gears. There is nothing for a beginner to learn except throttle and brakes.

Who should buy the 60cc instead of the 50cc

Most people land on this page after looking at the $300 bike, so here is the straight answer on which way to go. The $80 difference is not the thing to decide on. Size is.

Buy the 60cc if your kid is already tall. Three and a half inches of seat height is a lot on a mini bike. A kid who is cramped on a 24 inch seat has their knees up near the tank and cannot weight the pegs properly, and that makes them slower and less stable, not safer. If your kid is around 9 or older, or tall for their age, they will outgrow the 50cc fast enough that you buy twice.

Buy the 60cc if an adult is going to ride it too. The 170 lb limit on the 50cc rules out most parents. 220 lbs does not. If you want to be able to take a lap yourself, or if an older sibling is going to share it, this is the one that handles both.

Buy the 50cc if your kid is 5 to 8, or short. A smaller bike that they can flat foot at a stop builds confidence faster than a bigger one they are tiptoeing on. Confidence is the whole game in the first month. It is also the one you can actually have this week.

The honest part about the extra speed. 35 mph instead of 32 mph is 3 mph, which you will not feel. What you will feel is the pull. A 60cc gets out of its own way harder from a stop. The governor screw caps both bikes anywhere you want, so if speed is your worry, that is a screwdriver problem, not a model problem.

Still unsure? Use the two foot test in the sizing guide. It beats going by age every time, and it takes about ten seconds.

The double exhaust

Two pipes instead of one. That and the bigger 60cc engine are the only real differences between this and our 50cc. Everything else, the frame, the brakes, the suspension, the way it arrives, is the same bike you already know.

About the speed

Top speed is 35 mph, with a light rider on flat ground.

Before that number scares you: there is a governor screw on the carburetor. Back it off and the bike will barely move faster than a jog. Open it up a turn at a time as your kid gets confident. You decide how fast it goes, not the bike. The how to is on our manual site.

What shows up, and what you do

It shows up sealed in the factory crate, exactly the way it reached us. We never open it. Inside, the factory has the bike about 90% assembled, so what is left for you is the front wheel, the handlebars, a few bolts and the fluids. Tools are in the box. Most families have it together in 20 to 30 minutes.

Step by step video, fuel mixing, first ride tips and a maintenance checklist are all at manual.pluggedby50cc.com.

If a part comes through bad

Send us a photo or a video. If a part came through defective, we take the claim to the manufacturer on your behalf and get the correct replacement part sent to you free. First year.

Straight with you: Plugged by 50CC is not the warranty company and we do not pay warranty out of our own pocket. What we do is handle the back and forth with the factory so you never have to. In our experience that is worth more than a card in the box.

Questions people ask before ordering

When can I actually buy one? Early November 2026 is what our supplier has told us. Text 623 320 8984 and we will message you the day it lands. If that date moves we will tell you, we will not let you find out by waiting.

Can I pay now to hold one? Not right now. We would rather have the bikes in hand before we take your money.

How fast will it actually go? Wide open it is about 35 mph on flat ground with a light rider. The governor screw caps it wherever you want, right down to a walking jog. Here is how to adjust the speed limiter.

Is a 60cc too much for a beginner? Not with the governor turned down. The engine is bigger but the controls are identical to the 50cc: twist and go, no clutch, no shifting. Set the screw so it tops out at a jog for the first week and open it up from there.

What fuel does it take? A 25 to 1 gas and oil mix, regular unleaded plus two stroke oil, about 5.12 oz per gallon. Here is how to mix it correctly.

Will it fit my kid? Seat height is about 27.5 inches and the limit is 220 lbs. Size by whether they can get the balls of both feet down at a stop, not by their age. Here is the full sizing guide.

Which colour will be available? White, black, red and blue. Text us which one you want and we will put it aside for you when the batch arrives.

Where are we allowed to ride it? Private property, tracks, OHV parks and designated routes on public land. Never streets or sidewalks. Here is the 50 state guide, and here is how to find trails near you.

What if it will not start? On a two stroke it is almost always fuel, then the air filter, then the plug, in that order. Work through the list. If it fires and then dies after a few seconds, that is a carburetor problem, not a dead engine.

What maintenance does it need? Fresh fuel, a clean air filter and correct chain tension. That is most of it.

Before you buy

Off road use only. This bike is not street legal and it does not come with a street title. Backyards, dirt lots, desert and tracks. Helmet and gear every ride.

Plugged by 50CC is an independent retailer. We do not manufacture, assemble, modify or service the bikes we sell.

Questions first? Text us at 623 320 8984 or email pluggedbycc@gmail.com. We are a small family run shop in Tempe and we get back to you the same day.

Read this before you order

We would rather lose the sale than have you find this out after the crate arrives.

  • Off road use only. This is not street legal. It does not come with a title, a VIN or registration paperwork, and it cannot be made street legal. Private property, dirt lots, desert and tracks only. Not streets, not sidewalks, not bike paths, not public roads.
  • Not a toy. This is a gas powered motorcycle, not a ride on toy. An adult must supervise every ride, and an adult should do the final assembly and the pre ride checks.
  • Gear every single ride. Helmet, gloves, goggles, long sleeves, long pants and closed shoes. No exceptions, no "just around the yard" ride.
  • Rider limits. Suited to riders roughly 9 years old and up. Max rider weight 220 lbs. Top speed 35 mph, and there is a governor screw on the carburetor so you can cap it far lower while your rider learns.
  • It arrives crated, and you finish it. The bike comes to you sealed in its factory crate exactly as it reaches us, about 90 percent assembled at the factory. We never open it. You fit the front wheel and the handlebars, tighten a few bolts and add the fluids. The tools are in the box. Go over every fastener, the brakes and the throttle before the first ride. Most families have it together in 20 to 30 minutes. Step by step video at manual.pluggedby50cc.com.
  • Riding carries real risk. Any powered two wheeler can cause injury. You and your rider ride at your own risk, and you are responsible for supervision, gear, maintenance and choosing a safe place to ride.
  • Check your local rules. Where an off highway vehicle may be ridden, and whether it needs an OHV decal, varies by city, county and state. That part is on you to check before you ride. We keep a 50 state guide to where you can legally ride.
  • Who we are. Plugged by 50CC is an independent retailer. We did not manufacture this bike, and we do not assemble, tune, prep, service or modify it. We buy them new from the factory and pass the sealed crate straight on to you, about 90 percent assembled by the factory, with the last of the assembly and setup done by you. If a part comes through defective we take the claim to the factory on your behalf and get the correct part sent out free.
  • All sales are final, and opening the crate ends it completely. No returns and no exchanges once a bike has shipped, and none at all once the crate has been opened and the bike assembled. An assembled bike cannot be sold as new and it does not go back in the crate. Before you cut the straps, check the model, the colour and the size are what you ordered. If anything arrives damaged or a part is defective, leave it in the crate, send us a short video and we will get it solved. Full terms in our refund policy.

By ordering you confirm you have read this, that the bike will be used off road only, and that an adult will supervise every ride.

Got Questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED

What age is this bike for? ▼
The 50cc is for kids 5 to 13, and the 60cc is for 9 and up. There is a speed governor screw on the carburetor so you can cap the top speed to match your kid's experience level. Start slow, open it up as they get better. Nothing to install, it is already on the bike.
How fast does it go? ▼
The 50cc gas bike tops out at 32 mph and the 60cc at about 35 mph. The governor screw lets you cap either one lower for a smaller or newer rider. Our electric bikes are a different class entirely: the Sykeruns X5 is rated at 50 mph and the X7 at 56 mph, both built for teens and adults, not little kids.
Does it come assembled? ▼
About 90% of it, done at the factory. It reaches you sealed in that factory crate exactly as it reached us, because we never open it. The last 10% is yours: front wheel, handlebars, a few bolts and the fluids. The tools are in the box, and most families are done in 20 to 30 minutes with the step by step video at manual.pluggedby50cc.com. Sometimes 10 minutes if you have done it before.
What if something breaks? ▼
Send us a photo or video of the problem at pluggedbycc@gmail.com or 623 320 8984. If a part came through defective, we take the claim to the manufacturer on your behalf and get the correct replacement part sent to you free. To be straight with you: Plugged by 50CC is the middleman on that, not the warranty company. We handle the back and forth so you do not have to. First year covered.
How do I pay? ▼
Online at pluggedby50cc.com with all major cards, Apple Pay and Shop Pay. For local Tempe pickup: Apple Pay, CashApp, Zelle, Venmo or cash. Text 623 320 8984 and we will make it happen.
Is it street legal? ▼
No. This is an off road dirt bike and it does not come with a street title. Built for backyards, dirt trails, open desert and tracks. Not for streets, sidewalks or public roads.
Where do you ship and how long does it take? ▼
We ship to all 50 states via FedEx, always free. Orders go out the same day and delivery normally takes 2 to 5 business days, with a tracking number the day it leaves. Local Tempe pickup is available same day if you text first.
What fuel does it use? ▼
A 25 to 1 gas and oil mix, which is regular unleaded plus 2 stroke oil, about 5.12 oz of oil per gallon. A cheap bottle of 2 stroke oil from any auto parts store lasts a long time. Full fuel mixing guide is at manual.pluggedby50cc.com.
How far will an electric bike really go on one charge? ▼
Less than the number on the box, and that is true across this whole category. The factory figures are up to 53 miles for the X5 and up to 60 for the X7, measured at low speed on flat ground. Independent testing puts real off road riding at roughly 20 to 25 miles for the X5 and 22 to 31 for the X7. Budget around the lower number and you will never be stranded.
